A seasoned Dental Hygienist, Elizabeth has been an integral member of the Hall Dental team for nearly two decades. Described by her peers as someone who always goes above and beyond to ensure each patient feels appreciated and cared for, her passion for her profession is obvious to those around her.
Elizabeth finds educating patients on their oral health to be one of the most fulfilling aspects of her role. “I find it extremely rewarding when I am able to see someone’s oral health improve because of the care I have provided,” she says. “It is very gratifying when you see the patient realize the importance of—and benefit from—their improved oral health, knowing you are the one who helped to educate them.” She believes maintaining good communication and lasting relationships with her patients is key to effectively educating and engaging them on their oral health.
Elizabeth further emphasizes the importance of delivering excellence in patient care, stating, “It is essential to keeping a healthy and thriving dental practice; it helps to build strong and loyal patient relationships. When excellent patient care is provided, the patient feels like they are important to you — this in turn helps them to become more receptive to your recommendations and tolerant to dental treatments.”
When asked what advice she has for other Dental Hygienists looking to progress in their careers, she offers, “The minute you feel like you are at the top of your game, you will start to miss things. Always keep learning and striving for excellence in your clinical practice and the optimal care of your patients.”
